Ashlee Walsh, senior associate director of corporate relations, has been with WashU since 2024. In her role, Walsh connects companies with the university, fostering relationships that advance both organizations’ objectives while positively impacting faculty and students. She shared that learning about the impactful work taking place across the university motivates her every day.

I am motivated when I learn about the important research taking place across both the Danforth and WashU Medicine campuses. I also am motivated when I hear about students whose lives are changed by their WashU experience.”

Walsh said WashU’s mission, along with the supportive community she has found here, has encouraged her throughout her career in University Advancement. She would tell anyone considering a future position at WashU that the support system and community play a major role in her work.

“A supportive team keeps me at WashU as well as alignment with the university’s mission and the opportunity to do rewarding work,” Walsh said.

When Walsh isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending musicals and concerts, traveling, trying new hobbies like pickleball and mahjong and helping her kids discover things that bring them joy as they grow.
