Since 2020, Kim Wyckoff has helped WashU patients get the care they need as a lead pre-certification coordinator at WashU Medicine’s Department of Medicine. She works to secure approval for diagnostic testing and other procedures ordered by clinical teams so patients can move forward with treatment.
Wyckoff says she is motivated by helping patients receive the tests and procedures needed to diagnose and treat their conditions. She finds purpose in supporting patients through an important part of their care journey.
“What keeps me at WashU is the ability to gain knowledge and experience in order to grow both professionally and personally,” Wyckoff said. “WashU has many opportunities for growth and welcomes it for their employees.”
For Wyckoff, that culture of learning and development is part of what makes WashU special.

Wyckoff enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two granddaughters, when she isn’t working. She also likes attending St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues games, and visiting the many historical sites St. Louis has to offer.
